Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one week away, so, naturally, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to write about what I am thankful for. (Cliche, right?!)

My family and friends are what I am most thankful for this holiday season. Especially, after the year we've had. It's been a very difficult year for all of us, and I'm happy to say that most of us have stuck by one another through it all. Javier and Ashlynn are my heart and soul. They give me strength and hope and most of all, unconditional love. I have the best cousins on earth and honestly, don't know what I would do without them. My stepdad has helped me a lot, probably more than he realizes. I just wish that I could be more help to him.

My friends mean the world to me. I can't say that I have a lot of friends, but that's OK with me. The few that I do have are simply fabulous and love me for me...And, they know who they are :-)

Memories of my Mom, Grandfather and Aunt Cheryl are frequent these days. I miss them all so much and I know my family does, as well. It's comforting to know that they are in such a peaceful place watching down on us.

I'll close with a quote from JFK:

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." -John Fitzgerald Kennedy

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
